On September 25, 1968, Will Smith was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was born as Willard Christopher Smith Jr. and came from a middle class family. As a student Smith had charisma and a quick tongue, which he later developed his nickname "Prince". At the age of 12, he began rapping while admiring other rappers, such as Grandmaster Flash.

In 1993, Smith and Martin Lawrence collaborated to create the action film "Bad Boys". He also starred in "Indepedence Day" which became the second highest grossing film in 1990. In 1997, Smith worked with Tommy Lee Jones to establish the hit "Men in Black". In 1999, he declines the role of Neo in "The Matrix", instead Smith decided to starred in "Wild Wild West".
Smith starred in the film "I Am Legend" which came out on December 14, 2007. The opening was notorious for being the largest opening for a film in the history of United States during the month of December.
